Randi Coley
Parent Support Specialist

Randi Coley is a Parent Support Specialist with Building Bright Futures, bringing more than 20 years of experience in counseling, social services, addiction recovery, mental health support, leadership development, and community outreach.

​

Throughout her career, Randi has dedicated herself to helping individuals and families overcome life's challenges, build resilience, and create positive, lasting change. Her passion for service is rooted in the belief that every person deserves support, encouragement, and access to resources that help them thrive.

​

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), Life Coach, and community leader, Randi understands that parenting can be both rewarding and overwhelming. She recognizes that many parents carry the weight of stress, anxiety, self-doubt, trauma, and life transitions while simultaneously trying to support their children and families.

At Building Bright Futures, Randi works with parents and caregivers to strengthen confidence, improve emotional well-being, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills that support stronger family relationships.

Known for her compassionate, encouraging, and solution-focused approach, Randi creates a safe and supportive environment where parents feel heard, valued, and empowered to move forward. She is committed to helping families recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and build brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Professional Experience

Randi Coley is an accomplished counselor, educator, coach, community advocate, and nonprofit leader with more than two decades of experience serving individuals, families, and communities throughout Illinois.

​

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master's Degree in Health Science with a concentration in Addictions and Counseling from Governors State University. She has also pursued doctoral-level studies in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Human Behavior and Development. Her academic and professional training has provided her with a deep understanding of mental health, behavioral change, addiction recovery, and personal development.

Throughout her career, Randi has worked extensively in counseling, case management, vocational rehabilitation, community outreach, leadership development, and social services. She currently serves as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with the Illinois Department of Human Services, helping individuals with disabilities develop skills, access opportunities, and achieve meaningful employment goals.

​

In addition to her public service work, Randi is the founder and executive director of multiple community outreach and educational organizations focused on empowering individuals through mentorship, leadership development, counseling, education, and community engagement. She has dedicated much of her professional life to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, addiction, poverty, and other life challenges while advocating for stronger, healthier communities.

Randi is also a certified Life Coach, author, speaker, and educator who has written several books focused on personal growth, emotional wellness, faith, resilience, and overcoming life's challenges. Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to helping others discover their strengths, develop confidence, and create positive change.
